6th of October Celebration

October 6th commemorates the war fought by the coalition of Arab Nations led by Egypt against Israel in 1973. Both Egyptian and Syrian armies succeeded in crossing ceasefire lines to reclaim both Sinai and The Golan Heights respectively, which were captured by Israel in the 1967 war. The massive and tremendous crossing by the Egyptian army of the Suez Canal into Sinai was virtually unopposed. The war ended with the Camp David Accords in 1978.

The October 6th Project allows our students to experience the events of the war, relive the moments, and uphold their strong sense of pride for the achievement.
